The film

The film will be realized within 2005, on the eighth anniversary of the first exploration of Spluga della Preta.

We will film the impressive evinronments of the pits in Spluga della Preta, beginning from the first one, the so called “131”, that is considered one of the most beautiful and more fashinating pits of all caves in the world.

For the first time in the history, a video camera will go down to the Black Room, at -900 m of depth, in the hardest zone of the abyss.

We are going to watch “live” the new explorations and the new discoveries that a group of young speleologists are completing at 700 mt of depth, trying to find new ways and peraphs a second external way out of the abyss.

Finally, thanks to the testimony of some of the speleologists of the last 50 years, we are going to report the exploration history in order to transmit the charm, the beauty and the mistery of Spluga della Preta.

It deals with a challenge of high technical difficulty on account of the hard envinroment conditions in the cave. The making of the film in depth, in such a difficult abyss to cross even without technical instrumentations, it will need very light digital cameras, resistant to extreme temperature and humidity conditions. The total lack of light will need a sophisticated illuminating apparatus.
